di seguito riporto gli elementi significativi pertinenti alla moneta di figura:

AR Quinario1, zecca incerta, 81 a. C.2, Crawford 373/1b (pag. 389)3, Sydenham 609a (pag. 87), indice di rarità "(2)".

Descrizione sommaria (sono indicate in rosso le parti della leggenda usurate o comunque illeggibili):
D. Testa di Apollo laureata a destra. Bordo lineare.
R. Vittoria a destra che incorona un trofeo; in esergo ROMA. Segno di controllo C 4, sopra la linea di esergo. Bordo lineare.

Concludo osservando che, per quanto consentito da una valutazione a distanza, la moneta appare autentica.

Dalla tabella si evince che le caratteristiche fisiche del quinario di figura (1,7g, c.12-13mm, 12h) non si discostano da quelle dei conî autentici del periodo.
(2) Una concentrazione di ritrovamenti di questo tipo di nominali nella Gallia Cisalpina suggerisce al Crawford di associare queste emissioni alle esigenze di rifornimento e reclutamento di forze legate a Mario, attive nell'area nell'81 a. C.
Il Sydenham attribuisce alla moneta una datazione generica tra il 119 e il 91 a.C.
