Traduction avers: “Nero Claudius Cæsar Augustus Germanicus Pontifex Maximus Tribunicia Potestate imperator Pater Patriæ”, (Néron Claude césar auguste germanique grand pontife revêtu de la puissance tribunitienne empereur père de la patrie). REVERS Titulature revers: S|C// ROMA. Description revers: Rome nicéphore assise à gauche sur des armes, les jambes croisées, casquée et vêtue d’un chiton, tenant de la main gauche, une victoriolia et de la main droite, le parazonium. Traduction revers: “Roma”, (Rome). COMMENTAIRE Grand buste de style fin, hellénisant où tous les détails de la chevelure sont visibles. Sur cet exemplaire, le globe, à la pointe du cou n’est pas visible, cependant le style du portrait est lyonnais. HISTORIQUE NÉRON. (13/10/54-9/06/68). Auguste Néron est certainement l'un des empereurs les plus connus, grâce à Tacite et à Suétone, mais aussi l'un des plus décriés. C'est le dernier représentant de la dynastie Julio-Claudienne. Fils d'Agrippine, la seconde femme de Claude, et de Cneius Domitius Ahenobarbus, il est né en 37. Il descend à la fois d'Auguste par sa mère et de Julie par son grand-père maternel, Germanicus. Après l'assassinat de Claude par Agrippine avec l'aide de Locuste en 54, âgé de 17 ans, il commence son règne sous de bons auspices. Aidé de Sénèque, son précepteur, et de Burrus, préfet du Prétoire, il gouverne intelligemment avec le Sénat. Il a épousé Octavie, la fille de Claude et de Messaline. Le frère d'Octavie, Britannicus, meurt dans des conditions mystérieuses en 55 après J.-C. (empoisonné ?). Après le "quinquennum aureum" (54-59), l'empereur fait ou laisse assassiner sa mère. Les neuf dernières années du règne vont déstabiliser le principat.

Concludo osservando che, per quanto consentito ad una valutazione a distanza, la moneta di figura presenta caratteristiche fisiche, generali e di stile comparabili con quelle delle monete d'epoca reperite nel web. Se autentica, nel presente stato di conservazione, la moneta potrebbe, a mio avviso, valere un centinaio di euro.
