Concludo osservando che, per quanto consentito da una valutazione a distanza, le caratteristiche fisiche, generali e di stile della moneta di figura appaiono non difformi da quelle delle monete autentiche reperite nel web. La moneta è piuttosto comune. Se autentica, il suo valore venale, nelle presenti condizioni, non dovrebbe superare, a mio avviso, i 10,00€.

Note:
(1) Dupondio (oricalco). La monetazione in bronzo di Asinio Gallo comprendeva, oltre al dupondio, il sesterzio (Ric 370, v. link) e l'asse (Ric 373, v. link). Il dupondio pesava in media (su 30 esemplari) 12,37g. Raccolgo in tabella le caratteristiche fisiche dei dupondi della tipologia di figura presenti nei link sopra indicati:

Si evince dalla tabella che le caratteristiche fisiche della moneta di figura (8,47g, 27mm) rientrano comunque nei margini di variabilità delle monete d'epoca dello stesso tipo reperite nel web.
(2) AVGVSTVS TRIBVNIC POTEST (AVGVSTVS TRIBVNICia POTESTate). La titolatura appartiene ad Augusto. Si ricorderà che Augusto riorganizzò completamente la monetazione romana. L'aureo valeva 25 denari (argento) ovvero 100 sesterzi (bronzo) ovvero 400 assi (bronzo). L'asse venne battuto in modo da pesare 1/30 libbra (1 libbra = c. 325g). (3) C ASINIVS GALLVS III VIR AAAFF (Caius ASINIVS GALLVS IIIVIR AAAFF). Il nome per esteso dell'incarico ricoperto da Asinio come magistrato monetale era Triumvir Auro Argento Aere Flando Feriundo, in breve IIIVIR AAAFF. L'incarico gli era stato conferito nell'anno 16 a.C. agli inizi della carriera politica (aveva all'epoca 24 anni). Insieme a lui, nello stesso anno, rivestirono l'incarico C. Cassius Celer (v. link) e C. Gallius Lupercus (v. link). Gaio Asinio Gallo nell'11 a. C. (v. link) sposò, dopo il divorzio da Tiberio, Vipsania Agrippina, figlia del grande Agrippa, amico di Ottaviano e vincitore di Azio. Successivamente Asinio ricoprì il consolato dell'anno 8 a.C. e dal 6 al 5 a.C. fu proconsole d'Asia. Dopo il matrimonio con Vipsania, Asinio Gallo avanzò il diritto di paternità su Druso Cesare, il figlio che Tiberio aveva avuto da Vipsania prima del divorzio, e per questo fu malvisto da Tiberio. Gaio corteggiò anche Agrippina Maggiore, vedova di Gaio Giulio Cesare Germanico. Nel 30, il Senato, su istigazione di Tiberio, preoccupato per un possibile complotto e della vicinanza col prefetto del pretorio Seiano, dichiarò Asinio nemico pubblico. Imprigionato, Asinio fu lasciato morire di fame nel 33 d.C.
(4) S·C. Tra le novità introdotte da Augusto nella monetazione è da ricordare il conferimento al Senato della responsabilità delle emissioni monetali in bronzo; ogni emissione ènea riportava perciò sul rovescio la sigla SC (Senatus Consulto, "per decreto del Senato"). La monetazione d'oro e d'argento, che era priva della sigla SC, rientrava nella competenza diretta dell'imperatore.
