mi sono
occupato cinque anni fa di una moneta con identica
tipologia del dritto (vedere cliccando qui). In
quel caso la moneta era un riconio moderno il cui
rovescio era ben definito e non vuoto, come nel caso
in esame.

Gutes Portrait, feine Kratzer, vorzüglich / fast
vorzüglich.
Concludo
osservando che se, da un lato, le caratteristiche
fisiche della moneta (peso, tipo di metallo) appaiono
incompatibili con i conî dell'epoca, dall'altro, il
dritto di figura appare del tutto simile a quello
della moneta a suo
tempo già esaminata, la somiglianza estendendosi
al diametro, alla centratura dell'immagine e alla
forma del bordo. Insomma sembra come se la moneta sia
un prodotto industriale invece che il risultato della
percussione di un tondello vergine sovrapposto ad
un'incudine recante il negativo del dritto ad opera di
un martello recante l'impronta del rovescio.
Verosimilmente dunque la moneta di figura è figlia
della stessa matrice moderna all'origine della moneta
a suo tempo già esaminata. Naturalmente rimane
ignota la ragione per la quale qualcheduno ha piallato
la figura del rovescio per incidere sulla superficie
liscia un solco diametrale.

Dalla tabella
si evince che il peso del cistoforo di figura
comunicato dal lettore (6,3 g) è ben al di sotto dei
conî d'epoca. Inoltre la lega metallica della moneta
di figura, per quanto è dato di osservare
dall'immagine inviata, non è certamente d'argento.
